Tom your a brave man.
I dont have the courage to drive an F-body in the winter.
I have this recurring nightmare involving My Z, A tree, and me.
Now I did start mine up the other day, and now Im wishing I hadn't. I wanna drive it so bad. Damn winter. Damn snow.

I used to get beaters for the winter but I love driving my car too much.
Now I just mount the 225/60/16 snowies and tobogganing I go

I think you have more control when your steering and braking are contolled by the fronts and power is sent to the rears, asking your tires to do three things at once seems scary to me
Besides the F Body is a great handling car,you just have to hope they plow the roads

The only true difference is getting started in a RWD vehicle in the snow.
Without TC or chains it does take longer to get going than in a FWD where the weight of the motor and tranny is over the half shafts and tires.
Tires really do make the difference though. Good snow tires should get you out of anything short of Snow Storm armegeddon.

Well I didn't take the whole car out. Just a few boxes of stock parts, carried them out to the curb
BTW anyone interested in a stock 3rd gen K-member before it goes in the garbage? I still have alot of "scrap" metal I've removed from the car if anyone is interested. Also have a T-5 if anyone needs one, assembly required
If my caris on wheels by spring, I'll be happy

i have no beater. on saturday i was on my way to work at about 6:30 in the morning and i came off 94 at gratiot and hit a patch of ice and went into a flat spin right up gratiot i was going about 50 when i went over the ice and i slid up gratiot spinning for about 1/8 mile. i was just hoping i wouldnt hit anything, as the car started slowing down my left rear bumped the curb to stop the car, i was like thank you God...man i gotta slow my azz down i keep forgetting its winter!
