hey guys,

i've been helping a friend try and fix his 94 z28 for over 2 years now and we have come along way..

new recent parts are

t56 swap..
new msd opti
plugs
coil
icm tested good at autozone
wires are fairly new
pcm is fine

i have injector pulses and fuel pressure... i just cant get spark at the coil.


coil reads 11.59 v when cranking and nothing higher. i have the pulsing ground and the wires from the coil to the icm both check out... as does the ground...

i need professional help.... will pay for gas and food,beer, and extra cash to get the car running. i have done the no start diag. test on shoeboxes site, i've tested the opti... everything works... what gives?

no crank sensors on 94. obd1 remember. hmm, so you got power and ground at the coil? i'll have to look at a manual to see what your supposed to have at the opti and so on. what about the harness that goes from the opti to the main harness? in good shape? sure the terminals are not opened up/spread? in that case you c ould have power and ground there, but not making contact with teh pins in the opti.
