Well I was SOOOOOOOO close to finishing up my engine! I was priming the oil pump and I was ready to put the oil pump shaft in and......... Well the oil pump shaft is supposed to go in WITH the pump DOH!!!!!!! It wont go in from up top So I tried taking the oil pan down (major hassel) and now I find I have to raise the engine to take the pan out This SUX Oh well Ill try to take the two motor mount bolts off and pull it up without unhooking anything else.

Yeah keep your hea up, Dan! At least you got a LOT accomplished this winter. Many of us are just slackers haha Can't wait to see it run

 

hey dan, hate to tell ya now but you didnt need to take off the pan to install it. yes, it should have went in first, before the pump, but you can just grind off the nubs on the side of the shaft and it will drop right in. done this before, learned just like you did. anyways good luck getting it running. see ya round.
