Unhappy Dave gave me a dose of his curse!

This morning I was just trying to put in a load of laundry before I went on some errands and this guy calls me. He's another contract employee of one of my web clients and he's asking all kinds of questions and said something that I took to mean that he was threatening to take over the website that I built. I got so upset over that that it gave me a headache. I called the guy who owns the company and said hey what's up, why is this guy calling me and asking all sorts of questions. He said he's supposed to be doing that and just please work with him. So I did the bigger thing and called the guy back, said we got off on the wrong foot and I hoped we could work together smoothly. He claims to have no interest in taking over my website, just wants to get the email working right with the new VPN he built.

Then I was doing errands and one thing I did was buy a monitor for the new PC I'm building for me at work. (It's a NEC 19" flat screen on sale at Circuit City for $229 after rebate.) I took it back to the car lot and brought it inside. Well, had somebody bring it inside for me. Whaddaya think, I can lift something like that? Then I was getting ready to leave and my car wouldn't start. It would turn over but wouldn't go all the way. After looking at it my brother determined that it's a general electrical problem, probably caused by the computer. Just up and quit on me. Couldn't have been a much better place unless I was at home though, because I can just leave it there at the lot. So now my good ol' taurus is dead , and I have to get something else. Wish my boss would just let me drive something with a dealer plate, but nooooooo...

Doesn't sound so bad until you consider that I can't really afford much else right now. My uncle is going to sell me his 90 lumina, which is nice although it's the same year as the taurus.

And for those of you saying "just take the camaro out!" the answer is no. It's too early yet. If I take it out it'll snow. Besides, I haven't saved up the money for the insurance yet.

My brother's car is dead right now too. It's on blocks in the driveway until he has time to put some part in the fuel pump. I wasn't paying attention when he said what the part was. So we're down to 2 working cars in a family that needs 4.

Shania Twain's new song "Up" really applies for me today...

I'm sorry, that sucks Becca. I know what it's like when your only means of transportation dies on you. Back when I was driving the LeBaron it was a weekly occurance. I think I pushed that car more them I actually drove it. Can't believe someone actually paid me $1200 for that thing. You and your brother need to get Chevy's

Let me know if theirs anything I can do to help.
