Check the GP forum for a group purchase...Some place had a deal for a 340 pump for $110 shipped. The good 255 pump, not the cheesy one supposedly...

If you find it and do some research, let me know if the deal is still avaliable and if that's the good pump, im interested for sure.

How would this work for us 3rd gen guys? I saw that Denny piped up and questioned about getting one. Would this be ok for our needs also?

If so i'm on my way to get one.

Sorry about that it was just a miscommunication. Go back in and see Gary he will give you a price adjustment to the special on www.turbobuick.com . On an internet web site GP or sale you must tell the store manager the web site you saw the special on since we sponsor a few different ones. Then they can verify it and give you the same deal in the store. With otu any hassels.
Thanks,
Mike Licht

Mike, is that a plug & play? Are there any other modifications needed to make this work? Thanks.

I put one of those in a 99 formula that i installed a cam and supercharger on. its not exactly plug and play for the ls1 cars, but it will work. for the lt1 cars and 3rd gens, its direct replacement. very simple. but the LS1's have a fuel pump module instead of a regular sender. when you take the module out of the tank, you'll see a white cyl. that "houses" the pump. you need to dissasemble that and cut off the plastic output hose that is heat shrunk around the niple that goes out to the main fuel line. I used a razor knife and slit it open and pulled it off the barbed nipple. on top of that, there's some sort of tiny plastic hose that Im assuming is a vent of sorts for the pump thats not used on the old LT1 pumps, but the hole is there. you need to yank off the tiny line from the old pump, (it will pull off)then there will be a tiny barbed fitting that needs to be swapped into the new pump. grab some needle nose pliers and pull it out and install it into the new pump. i had to epoxy mine in though.

there was no mention of all these steps when Ryan called LGmotorsports to ask them about it. (thats the kit we used) basically, they put a short piece of hose and some clamps in the box and said now its a bolt in for 82-02 fcars. what ever. Im not sure if we were supposed to hook up that little tiny hose or not, but the pump is working.
now, there is one flaw that he's checking into now. when you get on it really hard, the press. goes from 60 down to 50psi. I dont know if its due to that little hose or if its just not enough volume to handle his combo. they are rated at 550 hp, and thats about what his car is making. last week at APE it dynoed at 48x rear wheel horsepower.
I'll post back after I talk to him again to see what he found out.
