Post Fun at Milan.

Well friday I decided to go out to Milan dragway for some fun.
Is it just me, or does that track have some major traction issues?
The best 60ft I could muster was about 2.25 on street tires. Although I am no pro driver.

Still I did have a lot of fun. I didn't do as good as last year in Ohio, but it was much hotter, and like I said...the 60foots were sucking. Toward sunset I managed to pull off some 14.2's with 99.7 traps, so I was satisfied.

Despite the worse times, I still had a lot of fun, and man the track is dirt cheap to run on. In ohio I paid $15 per run, here I paid $20 to get in an ran 11 times in one night!
This was also with about 2 hours sitting out to let the engine cool. I also left at 9:00.

Got some videos of my first runs, which were very poor (95 degrees = 97 traps).
Then the camera ran out of batteries, but I do have the slips.
I'll try and get them up.

I usually go on Wednesdays and only get about 4 runs, what time did you get there on Friday? what time do they start? I agree that there track does suck for traction, I can't get any good 60' times either.

Well the truth is I went wednesday, and friday.
Wendsday I got there late and only ran 3 times. The best I could get then was mid 97mph traps. It was about 95 and very humid then. I was dripping with sweat just standing outside my car.

I went on friday, and it was hot, but still cooler than wednesday. Probably 85? That was when I ran my 14.2@99.7. I just tried to shorten the story is all.

I did get 11 runs in on Friday though, but brought no camera man with me.

I was the White 94 6-spd Z there. What were you driving Freak? Did you see those two SS's. I talked to them for a while. The vert was an SLP SS A4 Drop top, with 3.73's and an older guy behind the wheel. He was running mid 13's.
The other was an 02 6-speed SS, with a few mods (not shure what). The owner was getting low 13's, with cool drag radials, and his friend bet him he could do better.
I assume he did because I went up to the stands and saw it run a 12.7 (the tires had been roasted nicely that time).
