usually it's just a tiny metal or plactic container with a log book to sign. others are little boxes with plastic trinkets. There is one by Major Magics that has extra tokins in it
It's mostly about the journey and finding the cache. They are cleverly placed and sometimes right out in the open but normal passerbys won't see it. You don't HAVE to have a gps but it helps. google maps can pinpoint the location if you put in the coordinates. A good one to start with is this one. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache...b-6139bff03b89 Just make sure your sneaky, normal people will destroy these caches if they find one.
My favorite one so far was an old 1940's steam roller rusting away in the woods behind St. Johns hospital.

We've done it a couple of times and it is indeed fun. I had to stop because my kids were fighting over the trinkets and they didn't want to contribute to the cache. They have to get more mature before we try it again.
