I figure my birthday is Friday the 14th of Febuary, and I get my new computer for my birthday, SOooooo Lets do the LAN party on the 15th. I hope that works for everyone, but I'm sure someone wont be able to make it. For that I am sorry. I figure I can fit about 10 to 15 setups in my basement. Now, I am not a big LAN guy, so I dont have anything to do this. I have a local freind who has some stuff, and I know some of you guys have stuff. I suggest you bring all you got, better to have too much stuff, then not enough. Bring your games, cables, and routers. Also bring a sleeping bag, pillow or whatever you need to crash with. I plan on running as late into the night as we can. Might as well totally burn ourselves out if we are gonna do it right. So, whoever has the time free, and wants to have a great night of fun and help me turn 30, bring your stuff. If we get more then 15 guys, we can make room, but I doubt we will all be in the same room. The more the merrier. Also, BOYB....cuz I guarantee I will have my cooler at my feet. Let me know who is coming, and I hope some of you East siders can make it over, love to see ya on this side of the state

I was figuring if everybody started to show up around 2pm that we can get the LAN up and running and plug guys in as they show up. Get the real deal running by like 6pm, and game all night!

Cool, I was hoping you would come over Dave. As for the network guy, we have my cousin who runs circuit city here in GR, and Sinster Syclone is pretty good around a computer too I'm sure he will be up for this if he can be. I know he was going to be gone one of the weekends in Febuary, hopefully not this one. If worst comes to worst, I will pay my network guy from work to come and to the installs on the LAN. I hope everyone has a network card

I have a ****ty built in network card but it works.. i have a pretty decent 3com card in my p3 which i "might" be able to let someone borrow.. but i dont know.

People should know network cards can be had cheap nowadays

 

Yeah, they are REAL cheap, like 20 bucks or less sometimes. So if any of you dont have one, get off your asses and buy one before Febuary 15th! Otherwise your gonna be watching like Becca.

So far that date sounds good. I can bring my spool (approx 800') of cat 5 cable and crimpers. I only have a few ends left but can buy more before then if need be. I will look and see what kind of games I have that we can multi-play.

I haven't done a LAN party before, but it should be real fun lugging my desktop computer around

Y'know, I do have a laptop with a network card. Ah, the joys of having a LAN at home!

I just didn't figure I'd bring it because you guys all seem to want to play stuff that I know I'll suck at. I know I'll suck at it because I don't even recognize the names of the games you're talking about! Remember, the Super Nintendo is the last game system that I could really play without sucking at it...
