ahotrod79 if/when you replace your carb, give me an email for yours.
Maybe you could give me some tips on the 400 also.

Right now I have the stock intake manifold. Timber, do you have any SBC manifolds that would work better?
If I just go witht he stock one for now, it is easy to switch later right?

I will also need headers for it. Its going in my 90 Firebird (origionally 305). So I think the stock exaust manif will fit, but probably choke it. AutoZone sells some real cheap headers, and one guy I talked to said they would work fine, if they fit. So now I am very confused on what to do. These things cost like $80 bucks! I am used to looking at $450-600 for LT1 headers...

Do you have a set of 350 heads that are aftermarket? I looking to get rid of the stock ones and I have a spare set of 350 heads for trade. Two sets are better than one I guess.

Dolby, your stock manifolds will bolt right up, but will be restrictive (just like they were on your 305). The Hedmann headers AZ carries for $80 will work fine, but plan on getting new ones in a year. They will be rusted out by then. I have various manifolds, all different variations on stock. Some flat, some with a slight high rise, etc.

Crazyj, all the heads I have are various stock versions. 1.94 valves, etc

Right now Dreamer1q wanted me to hold the 400 for him for the weekend. So we'll see if I hear anymore by the end of tomorrow on it. If not, it will still be up for grabs...

Dolby109, send me an email and let me know what kind of info you need. I have two 400 motors and they are a night and day difference, but they both still get the job done.
