Imposter z28 roaming the streets of Macomb

Just thought I'd do a little FYI, if you see this Camaro, make sure you point and laugh. It's some guy posing as a z28. His VIN came back v6, his z28 badge was obviously self applied as it's a few inches too far left, and the most obvious reason of all... he has drum brakes.

LT1/v6 aside, it's just ugly.

Aside from his ghetto fabulous rims, he's plannin on putting dub spinners on it. And definitely take note of the Fast and the Furious shoulder pad, that must add 10HP or something... ...wait nm, those heavy big rims are like -15HP.

i know him. lol well one of my buddys knows him. he wont show neone under the hood it is a 3.8 its slow as hell. it has a LSD in it tho. ive got vid's of my budys w68 3.8 firebird wasting him everytime they raced. the guy that drives it is kinda not all up there if u know what i mean. about 11 short of a dozen. hes got some mods. but nothing major a bunch of look at me ive got guages and they arent hooked up. and hes got a few electronic mods. like a few thousand in stuf fin the car. but it is a v6 but hes dumb and says its an lt1. and wont sho no one the engine. ill be damned if once i get my car done i wont open the hood. hell ill open it. ill post it as being a v8 too. but it is a v6 vin. but ill prove it by opening the hood.

Thers is nothing wrong with having a 6 or even building it up a bit heck my 98 with a 3.8 stock is pretty close to my old 77 Trans am (I said close not better!) but to badge it as something its not thats another thing! I dont care if he's an SS hood and Spoiler just dont try to say it's an 8 when it's not by the way what color is it I wanna see this thing! so I can look at it from my rear view!!!... just cant wait to get my cam!! and headers!

I used to drive around with no badges and my borla plated up with one of the tailpipes taken off, i smoked more dumbasses in C5s who were too dumb to realize it was a v8....

If you can't tell the difference in just the sound between an 8 and a 6 you deserve to have your doors blown off!! I don't care if it has badges or not!!

Ummm, look down near the bottom of Page 3.....it looks like an LT1 to me??

Considering the guy has the money to do all that stuff to the car (3 DVD's, big stereo, body kit, etc.,) then why wouldn't he have the money to put in an LT1? Unless that's a pic from under the hood of someone else's car?!

I could tell it was a z28 from the dash pics. It has the 155 MPH speedo, etc... It's a Z.

That's not his engine bay, he grabbed a random teal colored Camaro with an LT1 engine and called it his. In person, this guy will NOT open his hood because he knows it's a 3.8L.

He's got drum brakes, no z28 has drum brakes. With all the electrical components he has in the interior, I would bet he bought the aftermarket z28 overlay and then just purchased a z28 gauge cluster.

As for the 3.8L firebird beating him, here's the video taken the other day by my buddy that raced him. http://www.meissenation.com/SukoBattle.wmv

Trust me, too many things don't add up for it to be a z28. The only thing he has going for him to make you think it really is a z28 are the gauges, that engine bay picture is definitely one he got from someone else. But the fact that his vin says v6, his badges are misplaced, his rear brakes are drums, and he gets beaten by a 3.8L firebird consistantly, no way, it's definitely a v6

and even so, HP wise a stock V6 Camaro has the stock v6 Mustang's beat for the same year.. I drive a v6, and I'm dang proud... it keeps me out of getting even more tickets.
