Exclamation M13 - October 4, 2008 - Time to start talking and planning!

Can't believe it is that time already...again! Let's start talking about M13!

Chances are, everyone here has already heard about this and then some, so this post is for the benefit of those who might not have heard about it.

M13, the 13th Annual Michigan GM Event is on October 4 and it is coming up FAST!

If you haven't heard of the M events, they are a killer one-day drag racing event at the Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, MI. It is for all domestic GM cars and many consider it a "last blast" of the year before the cars go away for winter storage.

Good times, good friends, good racing (with CASH payouts and trophies), lots of FAST cars, 2 bracket classes and a Quick 16 class, giveaways, cheap spectator prices, and cool hotel parties the night before and the night after. Just a damn good time, that's what the M event is all about, ask anyone who has been to one.

Here's some quick bits!

I can't wait! I missed most of the show last year, but this year I will make it with, or without a car (to race).

I'll be there if my trans holds out, or if it goes out in the next few weeks and I have time to put my backup in.

There has been spectator fees for the past several years. I am working on getting a Camaro there, but that is up in the air.

Yup, it emptied itself. It blew the rupture disc somehow, and dumped all ten pounds of nitrous inside the car. No apparent damage, I only noticed it when I removed the tank to go road racing, and the tank was very, very light. I've got the appropriate fitting on the tank now, and once it's refilled, everything will be nice & legal with a real downtube. From now on, the nitrous tank stays in the garage, except when I'm heading off to the track. I guess summer parking lots are too warm for nitrous tanks.
