Quick and cheap powerdercoating in MI?
Hey, I plan to buy some springs soon but they are powdercoated red. I would like them black. Can something be powdercoated twice? If so, who in the area can do a quick and cheap job coating them?

You will probably have to have them sandblasted again, should only cost 20 bucks or so. If you know somebody who has a blaster you could do it yourself. I have a guy on this side of the state that does it to. They are called Pro Finish, there is a link on my website. On the links page. A long drive, but you might be able to ship them if you dont find anything in motown.

I'm gonna nominate Bill at QC Coatings as well. They did my rims and I couldn't be happier. Affordable, well done, and nice people.

Jason,
I can do them here at my place in Haslett. I have the sand blaster, the powdercoating equipment, and the lab ovens.
Best of all, it's cheap. You could even come over and do it yourself for even *cheaper*: Say, the cost of the M7 event perhaps?

NOT VAPORWARE! The Minirammed 385 shortblock is done.

I wouldn't trust anybody who works for qc coatings. I bought a 400sbc off someone running an ad there and they didn't tell me that the caps were from a 350 (they forgot to metion this when I spoke with them on the phone). They assured me that they would either give me the right caps or give me my money back. I have yet to hear from the sorry bastards. It's hard enough to find money for my hobby and still do things with my children, but it makes it even harder when *******s rip people off for no reason. I'll see them in court though.

Thanks, guys. I had Dan in the back of my head when I was posting this, but wasn't sure if he was still powdercoating stuff.
