Angry Tranny Lines

Well, i just got back from fixing a stupid tranny cooler line in the
freezing cool. Oh joy I was just drive down the road minding
my own business look behind me in the rearview and see a white haze. I thought it was just snow blow up behind me, and really didn't think nothing about it. Keep on driving and then turn on to a normal road,(i was on a dirt road ), look in the rearview and see a bunch of smoke, what the hell?! Then all of a sudden
tranny slips into neutral, while still in drive. Hit the brakes and pull
over. Shut the car off and look under the hood nothing but smoke!
What the heck?! nothing was leaking up top. look underneath and
see tranny fluid gushing out!!!! Had to wait for some of my
friends to help me out. Anyways, just got it home and now it's grounded. Bastard car see if you get anymore performance parts
for awhile. Sorry, i had to vent.

Did the line get a hole in it or did the clamp come off?

Either way it sounds like a bummer!

Have you test driven it since then?

Sumpin' to remember, the bottom line into the radiator is the "IN" and the top is the "OUT" on most GM vehicles. ALWAYS test first to be sure! You want to run the fluid through the radiator first, then/lastly through the cooler.

AND... watch for leaks, I put a cooler on my '00 Sierra, it lt failed after two years and I had to foot the bill for a trans rebuild.

$2 beans worth!
