NY:
Hi i'm the average girl We all look pretty decenet. Not too many crazy hotties or fat bald girls

Reasons for traffic on the highway in michigan
1. somene hot pulled over and everyone has to change lanes now
2. "ohhhh! ohh! let me see!"

reasons for traffic in NY
1. 15 million people. 3 ways out. you do the math
2. SNOW!

Things that dont slow down traffic in michgain
1. weather
2. any weather what so ever!

Things that dont slow down traffic in NY
1. Cop pulled someone over
2. I'm 1 inch off the guys bumper

A weird traffic pattern i've noticed too-

NY highways are CONSTANTLY congeested
sideroads are fine

Michigan highways are cruising at 70mph all day long
Sideroads are SWAMPED!

Things that bring New York to a stand still-
1. 2 or more inches of snow
2. stock market crashes!
3. Hillary!

Things that bring michigan to a stand still
1. DEER HUNTING SEASON HAS BEGUN

I might start a flame with this, but its good to see another person bash all the friggin UNIONS in MI. They suck. Lets just say no wonder the price of a new car is what it is. And a majority of them don't deserve their overaid positions. I can name at least 3 people I know that work for the big three that know NOTHING about cars in general.

Anyhow, thanks for bringing up a touchy subject. I'm on your side though.

The labor to build a car is actually a very small portion of the purchase price. If you want to be pissed at someone, it shouldn't be the UAW guy making $50k a year, it should be the middle-manager at the ren-cen doing NOTHING and making $120k a year.

I'll freeze your little new york *** off, then fill ya up with pepermint schaanps to warm ya up. When your ready say the word, and you can bring me that damn timing gear

lets end this union thing (after i give my 2 cents!)

Unions(not just UAW) are bascially there 99% to protect the idoits and 1% to make sure everyone isn't abused.

Guaranteed jobs? I OWE you a living?
I have to wait 4 ****ing hours for a POS union guy to put a booster in my truck and i cant do it because "its a union job"
Unions only hurt themselves.
Go to a honda plant. people there are 10x happier WITHOUT unions.

a broom pusher does NOT deserve $25 an hour.

Then there's upstate NY... Half of the area around Albany is "rich *****"ville, rich or not, they act like it.

Women drive SUV's 24/7 all year long, when they dont need to, and are dangerous because you dont stick a 5'3" woman into a truck where if you pop the hood she cant see in...

1/3 the college/highschool girls are good looking, 1/3 are decent, 1/6 are awful, and that last 1/6 is evidence that Bovine growth hormones effect humans (possibly in a good way)

Sideroads are usually bare or really quiet, highways are packed.

First 3 snows of the year there are a million accidents.

First 3 snows of the year, highway traffic speed is 10mph.

You pass on the right, because there's always an old guy in the left lane that isnt even doing the speed limit.

We dont know who this "hillary" is

We know where Pataki lives, and he's twit that cares too much about his image and dosent do much for upstate since 9/11

Hunting happens, not everywhere, but enough to make me stay out of the woods during hunting season.

Suburbia...

We get occaional lake effect bits (when they're REALLY big) or Nor-Easters. Weather sucks for a week at a time usually. If it gets really pissy it'll suck for a month.

It's 25 deg on Halloween and 50 deg on Thanksgiving...

There are only (3) good deli shops within a 15 mile radius.

I think he's implying that there's just two extremes here. Either hot as hell, or ugly as sin.

Trey, you're gonna get me in trouble talking about this union stuff. I can't contain myself much longer, so please let this topic die. If I get satarted I'm liable to **** off another person that 99% of the time I could get along with, but the 1% involves union issues and i'm bound to make some enemies if i shoot my mouth off so I'll stop right here.

Thanks

About the Union debate.......... I don't really have a preference.I worked for a Japanese Stamping and Sub assembly plant for 6 years. They modeled the management after The way Honda runs their plants and there was a little Toyota style management mixed in with it. When I started there were alot of Japanese Managers running around making sure things got done and done right the first time. They also treated the people with respect and honor. It is the Japanese way. They got the show rollin and they were only allowed to live here for 3 years. When the 3 years was fulfilled they went back to Japan to manage our plants in their homeland.Thats when all hell broke loose in MI.They promoted incompetent white middle and upper management who made the promotions underneeth them based on the buddy system. Now they have a bunch of F***ing Monkeys running the show and running the company in the ground. The company as we speak is on the verge of Bankruptcy. They were supposed to get bought by a holding company. When they found out that they went back to spending money like it was going out of style again.Recently the holding company backed out of the deal on them so now they are really screwed.I no longer work there but I feel for all of my friends who still do.They never know if they will have a job the next day or not. Thats no way to live. They are trying to vote the union in right now to get the place cleaned up again. If I was there still my vote would be yes. They could'nt do anything worse than the previous management did. But I will agree with Iroc 5.7 that the Japanese style management is good and we were all quite happy working underneeth them. Just my .02.
