Warren Engine Exchange

Does anyone know if the Warren Engine Exchange on Groesbeck does good work? A friend of mine wants them to do a performance cam and head swap on his classic Mustang. Any input on them appreciated.

A friend of mine works there. He rebuilt the motor in my truck as a side job, saved a few bucks. He did all the machine work at work then assembled it at home. Top notch work in my opinion, at a good price. If I had the time I would have had him just do the machine work, but it saved a bunch of time just being able to drop it in, bolt it up and turn the key.

My father was looking for a place that could check out his shortblock engine to make sure that there wont be any problems with it in the future. Does this shop do machine work right there. Also who should I ask for and what's the hours there open till. - Mike

I did the install myself, and I did break in the cam. It's a roller motor and I'm not sure if it was even necessary. I made sure the prime the oil pump before I fired it up. I got a 1 year warranty with it. I've known my buddy that works there for a few years and is a stand up trustworthy guy. I'll have him do my Buick when I get that far in that project.
