Watch out for deer!

I was on my way home for dinner tonight and as I was stopping at a stop sign I saw three big deer going through someone's yard. Then on my way back to the house where I'm pet-sitting this week, I saw three more deer in a different spot. They were running across the road into the country club. (I didn't know deer play golf... )

Watch out when you're driving around, especially during twilight and at night. Tis the season for deer to be running around in unusual places.

Growing up in the country, I learned to keep an eye on the shoulder of the road looking for shiny spots (deer's eyes). When you see one, stop and look for more because they always travel in groups.

You sound like my mother! She used to always say stuff like that to me. Have you changed that battery yet?

Unhappy

Monday morning a guy I work with, Rich, hit Bambi on his way into work.

It happened about 6am and his truck got grill, mirror, fender, door, and rear quarter damage.
The deer ran away!

I don't have to worry about that out here in Phoenix. But when I was home last weekend I was out and about in the sticks where I grew up and passed about ten deer out for their nightly chow time. You never know when they will pop up. Rebecca, Did you see that post I put up paging you?? If you get some time please look at it.I need your help. Thanks

James

Ahhhhhhhhh yes... I recall the deerslaying Trans Am. Driven by everyone's favorite former Texan.

The really weird thing was that Debler said something about "watch out for deer" earlier that day.
