Angry Autolite 104's installed - now it's surging badly!

I installed the autolite plugs in anticipation for the dry kit, but now the car is surging horribly - the idle is rough as hell and it acts like it's bogged during WOT!! WTF is going on??? Anyone???
I haven't installed the MSD 6S yet, will that solve the issue???

(I put this LT1-Tech just in case anyone outside of N20 has a clue what this could be...)

Check your wires really good. My car will occasionally surge. I get out push on all the wires on the plugs and it goes away. I guess one of my wires, still not sure which it is, must not make perfect contact all the time with the plug. Also, make sure all the plugs are in tight enough to seal. Im not sure if the gap size would cause surging or not. Im assuming it doesnt since I have run plugs gapped from .055 to my current .032(roughly) with no problems but minor surging sometimes which has always been since I got the car. Then there could alway be a burnt wire, but probably not the case if it just all the sudden started with the new plugs. Hope this helps a little.

Tried to take it back to the place that installed and they were closed! Argh!
I did notice that it gets real bad around 2500+ RPM and jumps all over the place - keep in mind this did not happen till they installed the plugs - b@stards!

I'll check the wires for snug fit and make sure the plugs are in all the way....still going to take it by. Any other thoughts on this?

Well, just another Autolite problem!
That's why I keep telling people they are junk!
I even went as far as to take the first set I bought of them back to NAPA and demanded my money back. They gave it to me and I bought some NGK's and never looked back.
My car wouldn't even start with the autocraps, so at least you're a little better off.

By some NGK's and put them in yourself and give those 104's to your competition.

Good luck

ARGH!!! I take the car back and it turns out the monkey-brained mechanice at Hibdon's didn't plug two of the wires in and plugged another into the wrong plug! SheesH! He also didn't gap them the way i asked - but when I took it to a different Hibdons they were cool and hooked me up correctly - car runs great now - installing the ignition on tonight....thanks God!
