Angry Why so slow!!

Tonight I went out to the track and made two passes. Mods are in the sig

1st pass
R/T .666
60' 2.085
330 5.685
1/8 8.591
MPH 85.47
1000' .000
1/4 13.136
MPh 107.96
Didn't shift to 5th gear this pass

2nd pass
R/T .447
60' 2.25
330'5.93
1/8 8.86
mph 84.75
1000' 11.358
1/4 13.487
mph 105.88
Shifted to 5th gear this pass

The temperature was only 80 degrees today. Shouldn't I be trapping a whole lot higher? By the way I sprayed a 125 shot.

Your MPH is what I would expect you to trap with out the shot. What was your MPH before the N20 install?

So what where your time's without the bottle?
Also your 60" are high, you need a better 60" time, like 1.8 Also did you have good bottle pressure. If you have low perssure you won't get the full effect

Without the bottle and with 3.73 gears I trapped 103.4 mph. Bottle pressure was around 1000 psi. Could this be my clutch? I think the stock clutch is still in my car. Also the track I go to doesn't put vht down for the street cars so I spin off the line every time.

my best time without the bottle is a 13.5@103.4 mph.Could the problem be my clutch? I think I still have the stock clutch in my car. I just turned 86,000 miles.

FWIW I have went to the track 5 times with the bottle and my mph is as follows

1st time 111(Missed third gear) 2nd time 109.5
3rd time 108.6
4th time 107.9
5th time 105.86

I don't think the bottle is empty because I filled it up the day before and only used it twice before I went to the track.

You should have made a run without the nitrous. That would tell you if the nitrous was working. You said your best time w/o nitrous was 13.5 @ 103. Sounds to me like your nitrous wasn't working too good.If you suspect the clutch you would have noticed it. I run 14.40's w/o nitrous and 13.50-13.60's with only a 75 shot, on a bone stock 95 Z with an A4 and 2.73's

I've noticed that I can't get 3rd gear scratches anymore. The rpm's just go up when I try shifting that high in the rpm band. I'd say it is probably slipping.
