Greetings! New owner of a 2002 Indy 500 Parade/ Festival Car!
Greetings! First time post here. I am the new (and proud) owner of a 2002 Camaro Z28 Conv. Indy 500 Parade / Festival car #54...documented! Has all original stickers. Yes, I bought that one from Jim Schmidt Chevy in Hicksville OH. Car has 54K on it and it is IMMACULATE (after me spending an entire weekend washing, clay bar, waxing, buffing and polishing, inside conditioning of leather with Leatherique...best stuff). Its been 19 years since I last had an F-body...let alone something as special as this! I just ordered replacement graphics from GraphikConcepts in Farmington Hills, MI. Original graphics I have are good, but just a little bit of peel to annoy me. I would love to know where there are Camaro gatherings and get togethers (especially in the Nashville area). Glad to be here! I freakin' love my Z28!!!
Here she is!

Hi Dave,
Congratulations. I picked up the same car in March of this year for $13K out of a California showroom and had it shipped to Rhode Island. It has 19K miles, pristine condition and all original (including the tires). It was recently inspected/surveyed and valued at $32K. I know, actual value is only as good as finding a person to pay for the vehicle but I have no intention of selling my Z28. Much too rare and something I can pass down to my next generation. I too have all the documentation and pretty much only driven it in two parades this year (memorial day and July 4th) and people really appreciate it. I called Graphic Tech and had to provide documentation to get new decals -- I liked that, helps keep the bloodline pure.
Not sure how to post a picture on this website but it doesn't really matter - it looks just like yours. Mine is documented as #14.
Joe

Congrats Joe! I remember seeing that ad out in CA. Hicksville OH was driving distance for me, and I couldn't pass up a 1 owner for $11K. I LOVE mine too and have NO intention of selling it! I really hope / wish your vauation of $32K were true....but that may be a bit steep for the actual value. However, like mine, yours was left as an original Indy 500 parade and not used as a Brickyard car too. We apparently are 2 of 17 known that we left as actual Indy 500 parade cars only. All the others went to the Brickyard. :-)
Take care of her man! I just got my replacement decals put on and it looks stellar!
