anyone burn chips????

I am going to need a Computer chip burned for me after I get my car put together. (hopefully before race season).

So far this is what my 87 Iroc has in it to date:
a Hypertech stage2 chip, airfoil (which will go bye bye) cut out airbox, alm driveshaft,K&Ns

This weekend hopefully this is what it will also have in it. My Xmas/ Birthday presents from my husband.

BBK-1534 Chevy/Pontiac: 1985-88 305, 350, Twin 52 mm, throttle body (reason for the airfoil going bye bye)

EDL-68721 Chevrolet/Pontiac: 1986-90 5.0L/5.7L TPI Camaro/Firebird, with 3 in. single slip-on catalytic converter, 16 gauge mild steel, Tubular Exhaust System

FLO-17233 Chevrolet/Pontiac: 1986-91 5.0L/5.7L Camaro/Firebird, 3 in. dual exit, American Thunder, cat-back, exhaust system

HLY-534-185 Fuel Rail Kit, HLY-7540 Stealth Ram, w/ Non-Adjustable Regulator

HLY-7540 Stealth Ram TPI Manifold, SBC 1957-86, Idle To 6000RPM, Satin

So I am going to be needing a new chip burned for my car. Anyone know anyone that does it in this area?

with thoes mods, you will not have to have a custom chip burned for your car. If you are serious about burning chips, I have heard that the 7730ecm is a lot easier to use/tune becasue you don't have to mess with teh mass air? Not too sure, but all I knowis teh speed density. You can pay to have one made by Craig Blood. It will cost you about $500, but he does it right! Blood interprises inc.com....something like that.

I have to agree with Osmosis. I good tune would give you a bit of HP, but not much. Use the money for headers, cam, portwork, convertor, gears, drag radials. Then you'll be ready for a custom tune. Remember your ecm's are self correcting and can ajust for your mods.

Uhhh... I have a Willem chip burner at my house, that I use to burn custom chips for my car... I use Atmel 29c256 chips. If you have a .bin file you want burned and a bunch of chips I can tell you if I can burn them or not... I don't know much about your ECU so I don't know if it's already socketed or flash programmable or what... just thought I'd throw it out there if that's what you were looking for

If you're swapping to a Stealth Ram, then you will definately need the chip tuned!

I agree with Osmosis, using the 7730 ecm that's found on 90-92 f-bodies (and a ton of other gm vehicles) would be the way to go. There is a web page out there that details the swap, you can probably find it discussed on thirdgen.org, I think in the TPI section.

The benefits to this are you can get rid of the MAF sensor and you can enable highway cruise mode for a few extra MPG.

3000 for heads??? You should get the AFR 190's. They are by far the best for sbc's and run about 1250 for the complete set. JUST MAKE SURE TO specify if you need sensor holes, center bolt valve covers, angle spark plug holes, etc...... VERY IMPORTANT! They sent me a set that did not have any holes for sensors/center bolt valve covers. My saving grace was that I did ask for these items and had emails to prove it!
