^thats where I got the motor from. He ran something in the sponsors section a few months back. LT1 4 bolt main crate motors with a warranty. As for the last part Bradly you obviously don't get out much and have pipe dreams of selling a running LT1 for over 2k. You must have some big ***** to even start this thread and let alone think someone would even spend 2k on it.

Wow, I'd have never thunk it, but the LT1 for a 94 is listed at just over $1400 on www.genuinegm.com. Don't know what shipping is on it, but hey, that's pretty cheap Dude must not have typed it in right.

EDIT: I just looked over on www.gmpartsdirect.com ... they have it listed for $1326 + shipping.

Well here it is 95ltslow the actual posting

"As our introductory to CamaroZ28.com we are offering a sale on GM crate LT1 Engines. These are not used/remanufactured, but new in the crate long block engines. They are GM part number 88894195 and are a direct replacement for a 1995 F-Body. They can be used in the 1993-1994 if you are running a vented opti-spark, or a 1996-1997 if you change the front cover, crank hub, crankshaft reluctor, and crankshaft position sensor. We will be selling them at the amazing price of $1795.00 plus shipping until all stock is exhausted. Along with this we are offering an additional 10% off ALL Comp Cams products with the purchase of an engine. For pictures and more information click on the link below."

These were a handfull that were left, you will never get them for that price again.

They were not complete motors they were long blocks so add the cost of the opti, front cover, crank hub, crankshaft reluctor, and crankshaft position sensor, water pump, intake, TB, exhaust etc, etc. and see where you end up.

I am not seeing the wayyyyyy cheaper price here you keep talking about.
So until you can get your little ***** to get me a complete motor for wayyyyy less than $2,000.00 please STFU

LOL, So? You can use a 93-94 long block in place of a 97. The 95 is listed at around $1600. It has the same front end parts as the 97, sans the crank sensor. Not trying to start a fight here, just trying to help you out a little. Good luck on your sale.

Like I said, just trying to help you out, unless you really don't want to sell an engine. Like I said, good luck with your sale.

Idea. Sell the car as is. Worth more. Buy a same year Z28 and you will have the 2k+ left over from the sell to buy mods. Their are people out there that will give you more money than you think for this car if it does truely have low miles and is stock. The second you pull that motor you have lost thousands in resell. The LT1 SS cars are alot rarer than the LS1 SS cars. Just my 2 cents.

Just a pole you guys....I think this would sell for about 15K???
You can buy a 96 Z28 for $6K in great shape.
Do the math.

PoorMan - Thanks, The mileage is 17k actual and is pretty much mint. My plan has been to put the stroker in it, add a blower to it in a couple years and then keep it till it is to much for me to handle. I am 51 now, have a 9 year old grandson and would love to hand it over to him when he is in his mid twenties.
I have thought about the value too as thay only made the Z28/SS for that one year which makes it a little more rare.
I bought a florida roller chassis last week as I have been having a hard time with getting myself to tear apart such a clean car and now have to decide which way to go.
Thanks
Brad

Brad, you should leave that car alone - it's a nice one. Put the 383 engine in the project car.

But, if you want to try to sell your engine for $2200, you should be able to do it without taking a bunch of crap. Right now, a lot of people are moving away from LT1 and prices on LT1 stuff is pretty low, but all you need is one guy who thinks it's worth it.

i,m pretty sure lt1 crate motors are not available from GM any more,. i bought 2 of the last iron head long block crate motors available in canada a couple of years ago (obd1 and an obd2),.none available up here anymore,.mine both come with 100,000mi warranties from date of install,.
his 17,000, mi "complete" motor is definitely worth the money inmho,.every thing looks immaculate in the pictures,.
good luck with the sale, free bump,.
