396 Lt1 For Sale

We have a 396 LT1 for sale that we pulled out of a customers car. It was not built by us but was built here locally. This engine has very low miles on it, only 5 pass's at the track plus dyno time. On our dyno it made 400 rwhp and ran 10.90's in a 1995 trans am. Below I have listed the spec's of the engine. If interested please give us a call.

1995 396 LT1 complete engine
Eagle H beam rods
Eagle crank
SRP Pistons
Stroker oil pan
Stock heads, ported & polished, 2.02 stainless valves
Mild hyd roller camshaft
58mm throttle body
30 lb/hr injectors
Meziere electric water pump

$4500.00 get's this engine.

If youhave any questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Chris

The crank is forged. I am not sure what year the block is, I will check into it. I want to say 1995.

Which numbers?? The dyno or the ET?

If it's the ET, the car was a race car, but still weighed in at 3350. The dyno numbers are normal for a 396 on our chassis dyno.

The engine is complete ready to bolt in! NO warranty on this engine. It is a used engine out of a customers car. Just happens to have very low miles / pass's. If you have anyother questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

I don't understand how he got 10.90's out of a 400 rwhp car. I had 400 rwhp and I was happy so see 11.90's. Unless he was able to shave more than 500 lbs off the car?

Do you know the specs on the cam?

Compression ratio?

Thanks,

Trevor

Trevor,
The cam spec's are 231/231 112lsa and the engine has a compression ratio of 11.5:1. On our dyno, cars that generally make 400rwhp can trap 117-119 mph, which if the car is set up right can yeild you a 10 second slip.

Thanks
