94 lt1 part out... or sale whole car???

Hey guys, I had an unfortunate accident Christmas Eve night. I was on my way to parents house (they live out in the middle of nowhere) on a country road. I went over a hill and came down straight into water that had flooded the entire road. I never even saw the water and there was no time at all to stop. When i hit the water, my car stalled out and i floated out about 10 feet in the water. I opened the door to get out and water came in up to about the top of the console but i don't think it was any deeper. I had Christmas presents in the car and i knew my car was "done" so all i had time to do was get everything out so i am not sure how deep it actually was. Anyway, it sat there for about 10 hours and the next day when i came to get it.....all the water was gone completely and my car was sitting right in the middle of the road. I had it towed to a body shop and they totaled it a few days later because of the interior damage. Thats all they based it off of. My question is this......Do you guys think it would be better to part it out piece by piece, or just sell the whole damn thing as a whole. I am buying a new car tomorrow that is not a camaro so i need to get rid of it. The car has about 162000 miles on it and the motor is stock. I have included a few pictures of what the car looked like before i turned it into the Titanic so let me know what you think.

I also have the stock hood and wheels too if for some reason, anyone wants them. The SS hood is a oem hood, not an aftermarket.

Also, what i was wondering was how much it would take to get it running again? i am assuming some fluids (oil, tranny fluid, etc.) would have to be flushed and replaced but what else? i am definately not trying to start the car until i get some feedback. this all happened at a horrible time. i had just gotten some spark plugs and wires off of summit a few weeks before (msd 8mm and tr55's) this and just had not had the money to get them replaced. The reason for this is because the day i got my plugs and wires in the mail, my starter cracked, and i had to have it replaced. So, would the new starter still be good. I mean, being that the starters are on the bottom of the car, i am sure they get wet all the time, just not that wet. Also, the alternator is only 14 months old so it is practically new. Annnd.....(the hits just keep coming)....i just put a brand new optima red top battery in maybe 2 months ago. i have no use for it either. anyways, just let me know what you guys think. later

i am located in Russellville ky, which is about 30 miles south of Bowling Green Ky if you know where thats at. Also, about an hour away from Nashville Tn. As far as what i will take for the car, i am not sure yet. thats kinda why i posted so maybe someone could help me figure out how much it is worth. I do not plan on fixing it.....i don't have time......just make an offer.

As for the hood, i want to first see if i can sell the whole car like it is. if i can't....I will take $350 for it. And if you want it....come and get it. i remember the hell i went through to get it shipped to me so i do not want to go through that again.

no mods at all other than a K&N filter..........the only thing i really did to the car was add the wheels, hockey stripes, hood, and new tail lights. i did paint the back piece black because i always liked the look of the the Berger camaros. Also, i had a guy custom make me a new emblem on the front of the car out of braided carbon fiber. i think he actually makes em for some online retailers now....dunno. this was my daily driver and it never gave me any problems. it's funny....i liked the car so damn much that when i did hit the water, i never got scared. i was just f'n pissed!!! i still can't believe it happened. that was my 3rd camaro....94 z28 RIP......94 v6 (don't even consider it a camaro-i hate v6 camaros........and my baby was a 2000 SS that i had in 02'. my insurance was $242 a month so after a year of that, i said the hell with it and sold it. . . . . to a guy in Kuwait of all places. It probably ended up in some embassy with a bomb in it for all i know.

well, i applied for a speedy salvage title today so that should be in the mail shortly so if anyone wants it, let me know and we can set up something.

As for the hood....as i said in a previous post, it is an oem hood. i bought it 2 years ago from a member of this website. it was green at the time and i had it repainted like it is in the pictures. if nobody wants to buy the car as is, soon i will start parting it out. i really do not want to do this because of the time involved but i will if thats what i have to do.
