is the RPO paint code for that car 79U?.. check in the glove box or inside of the drivers door. It sure looks like mystic teal aka blue/green metallic but I thought the only colors avail for an SS in 1996 were red, white, black, polo green and regular teal.

When I mentioned the color of the car I was not reading from the sticker inside my door or the glove box, I was simply give him an idea of the color, I apologize for not being more technical. As far as none being made that year with my color, well, considering I own one, I guess you are wrong.
The ground clearance is fine with the '2 drop, just avoid major speed bumps, the only thing that tends to scrape are the flanges that hold the y-pipe and the longtubes together. I would say go with it, nothing looks better than a '2 drop.
