I as well as another board member were both engaged in transactions for T-56 transmissions with this person. neither of us have received product or reimbursement, and I have not had contact for over a month. I payed paypal so that's a plus there. The other person, who I will direct to this thread, has had trouble in contacting this individual. We are both pursuing legal alternatives. Has anyone had any good or bad transactions with this person? I need that info so I have something I can go to his local police department about.

If this all turns out to be one situation that just got mixed up then I will post and request that this thread be deleted. Quick, easy and rational solution. I notice that a 383 was sold by him recently, which has me kind of concerned if the buyer got burned or not. If anybody has any information they'd like to share, we're all ears!

 

I am the other individual that got scammed by this scumbag philcam01! He has been on this board as of 3:15 a.m. this morning so we know that he's active still! I also just wanted a broken transmission that I could rebuild. I have had one phone conversation after contacting the local police in Ocala Fl. He seemed like he was willing to deal but then decided that he wouldn't answer the phone any more. I used a Postal Money Order and I still have the reciept. I have kept ALL emails about this transaction. Just like the other individual in this thread. We are serious about nailing this guy to the wall!! Any INformation that someone has about him is desperately needed. We have already started the process of legal justice and we won't stop until we are satisfied!
So to you Philcam01 when you read this be prepaired to pay your dues because scam artist are nothing but trash!!!
Either be responsible or be prepaired to face the consequences!

It looks as if Phil came through and refunded my money. Also looks as if the other individual has had his packages shipped, although no tracking number has been given at this time. Even though this transaction is not complete until my money is actually posted to my bank account and Les' packages show up, for now we just wait. Looks as if Phil straightened everything out where it looked as if he would burn us. Still sounds kinds fishy though...

my funds have not posted to my bank account, but I suppose they are 'on hold' pending transfer through paypal.

Oh, and the reason I didn't do anything even though I live a couple hundred miles away is that I try to be calm, understanding, and I didn't use his address as a transaction. Not like I couldn't have figured out what it was if I got pissed =) Being deployed overseas in the Army doesn't help either. When this matter is a done deal I will request that this thread go away or be locked.

Alright here is an update as to what has happened over the last couple of months! i received part of what was paid for and that was just most of the internal parts to the transmission. I have not recieved the case as was part of the deal. He will not return emails or calls and doesn't seem to have time to get his lazy A$$ out and ship what is mine. As far as i'm concerned I'm through with this guy. And I want everyone to know that he is a Fraud and a lazy BUM. If you get into a transaction with Phillip Smith From Ocala Florida you are wasting your money and your time. And anything he tells you is nothing but lies. Phllip Smith is also a disgrace to our community here on camaro z-28.com and any other website that his presence has loomed.

Here is another update for the problem with philcam01 he has still not sent what he said he would and to go with all those problems I took the pieces I had recieved from philcam01 and come to find out the pieces he sent were out of a TRASHED tranny not a good one like he had said in a private message. Hmmm Private message so that no one else could see it. go figure.
So anyway I am getting ready to file a small claims court case against him and probably fight with him about this trash that he called good. This won' t be the last of me phillip smith.

 

Sorry to hear about that. I didn't hear anyting in awhile and thought that maybe the entire deal was settled, but I guess not. Perhaps it's a big misunderstanding as I would like to believe but unfortunately I dont think that is the case.

He has e-mail you know, i dont now if yall even bothered to try that. When you buy used parts, that is what you are buying, used, dont expect it to be perfect. you all could have just voiced your concerns without calling names but obviously yall are not mature enough for that.

phil sent you used parts which is exactly what they are used! I dont know who told you the parts were "trashed" but they are mistaken. For your information I have had the parts checked out!!!!! I wouldn't have called them trashed if I didnt. I don't post crap about something I don't know about just to have fun like you!! And since you have decided to be such a big part of this thread since your "friend" is a loser and can't tell the truth about what the parts are actually like have an earful on what I think. I expected "used parts" Not someones "trash" and if you think that they aren't trash then you send me 300.00 and I'll send you what Phil called a good transmission. But don't expect to get all of it CAUSE I DONT HAVE ALL OF WHAT I PAID FOR.

 

You guys are going to have to take this up with the authorities who can acutally do something about it. It is clear that arguing about it here isn't going to provide any solution. Besides, this site is not a dispute service.
