ATI Procharger D1-SC LS1 Kit, 95% Complete...PICS
ATI Procharger D1-SC LS1 Kit, 95% complete:
I bought this kit not to long ago and recently realized it wouldn’t easily make the 700-800rwhp I’d like to make by next spring. I plan on going with a turbo kit instead.
I did not buy a whole kit. I bought the head unit, the piping, the intercoolers, the 3.0”, 3.6”, and crank pulleys, and the plenum used. Everything else is brand new. All of it has only been on my car for about 1000 miles. This kit has many upgraded parts, and different pulleys and belts for different boost ranges. One of the intercoolers has a pin hole leak in it. It is still useable. However I would not put more than 7# through it for fear of enlarging the hole. It will not harm the motor, unfiltered air cannot enter though the hole. I highly recommend going with an FMIC kit to get the full potential of this blower. I would also recommend going with the SDCE spring-tensioned 8-rib kit to avoid belt slip troubles which are always a hassle with superchargers. The metal intake piping has been painted anodized red. Looks good except you can’t see most of it from above the car. I have decided to keep the AIR pump, cruise control, and horn relocation brackets. They can be purchased directly from ATI. The AIR pump and cruise control share a bracket, and the horns have their own, so you will need two(2) brackets. The Spal fan is a $300 upgraded unit that replaces the stock ATI fan for better cooling. It has a weather tight connector wired to it already. Just match the colors to the factory fan wires. The K&N filter is much larger than the one that comes with the standard kit. It is the largest one that will fit in the given space. The ATI race bypass valve is a $390 option that replaces the standard leaky bypass. It is also very loud in the higher RPM range. It sounds similar to a jet plane. Under boost it will not leak, as pressure tested by myself.
Here is a list of what comes with the kit. The ‘*’ indicates an upgraded part:
- D1-SC Head Unit
- Two intercoolers and mounting hardware
- *Custom blower inlet hat, has bypass inlet deleted
- 3.5” blower intake flex-hose
- All piping and hose clamps from blower to TB
- *Polished aluminum plenum with IAT sensor and mounting hardware
- *ATI Race bypass valve with vaccum fitting, mounted to plenum
- Radiator support
- Two-piece fan shroud
- *Spal cooling fan with weather-tight connector wired on
- *Main J-mounting bracket with dual idlers
- Standoffs and mounting hardware for main bracket
- 6” Crank pulley
- Blower pulleys, 3.0”, 3.6”, 4.0”
- Various spacers for blower pulleys, necessary for proper pulley alignment
- Belts for 3.6” and 4.0” pulleys for use with 6” crank pulley
- Longer heat treated crank bolt and grade 8 washer
- *Extra large K&N air filter, largest one that will fit, just cleaned
**All hardware is bagged up and labeled
Parts you need to complete kit:
- AIR & Cruise Control relocation bracket (AB022I-001 for 98-99, AB022I-002 for 00-02, $103)
- Horn relocation bracket (MB008I-001, $47)
Recommended parts to purchase:
- SDCE 8-rib kit
- FMIC or replacement intercooler
- SLP Smooth bellows, the ATI piece is almost useless
I also have an MMS 8” crank pulley. It will allow you to make more boost without using a smaller blower pulley. It also comes with a belt that can be used with the 4.0” blower pulley. $120 if bought with kit.
The price is $3750 shipped. This is a good dead considering a new kit is nearly $6k and does not come with any of the upgraded parts.
Please PM me if interested or if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
