It did perform

It put a lot of street cars to shame on the roads this summer.

FYI to potential buyers... this same design made 574rwhp/571rwtq @ 11psi on one of my other customer's car.

TTT. Buy this kit and I'll throw a 60mm Turbosmart e-boost2 fitted in a 3 guarge firebird pillar for $250 more ($500+ value).

Just curious, how hard is it to install? Any clearance issue if the cars lowered? How large of injectors and lines were you using? What would be the optium compression to run this size turbo? Does the oil system have to be continuous looked after?

Clearance is really good. My car is lowered and I scraped the crossover pipe a few times, but only on the dip at the end of my alley.

I was running 75lb/hr injectors on a FAST system for fueling. I had a dual-in-tank (2 x 255lph) pump setup, -8an feed, and -6an return lines. My setup was way overkill though. It's already been proven that a dual-in-tank setup with stock lines and stock regulator can flow enough for 750rwhp.

I put this on a 8.65:1 355. I think anything 9:0:1 or less with forged pistons is the way to go. Once the oil is plumbed, you never have to touch it again. I changed oil every 2000 miles and the oil looked brand new.

My oil pump puts out 60-70psi off-idle and I originally had a problem where I was pushing oil out the compressor. I've since added a .060" restrictor to the oil inlet of the turbo and never had to touch the oiling system again. That's included (and already bolted onto the turbo).

Installation isn't too bad, but it would certainly help to have midgets with long arms and skinny fingers to help out.

I *think* I put both manifolds in from the bottom. You really want to use Stage 8 header bolts so you can use an allen headed socket/ratchet for bolting them in (between #5 and 7 primaries for sure). I never used the locks that came with those bolts. Spark plug access is great on both sides as long as the downpipe is off. I've done it with it on though -- just less room to work.

I pulled the entire kit off in about 3 hours, including all the intercooler stuff. It takes longer to install though.

I did forget to mention one other thing. I did have to move my ABS box up and forward about 1.5 inches. I didn't have to change or disconnect the lines to do it. I just marked where it was hitting, clearanced the mount a bit, and then made a small bracket to hold the ABS box a bit further up. I'll include that bracket too.

To the top. $2900 shipped (firm)?

I have a lot more invested...

$1400 hot parts
$1000 turbo
$600+ cold side
$400+ ceramic coating

That doesn't include the banket, oil lines, oil flanges (instead of screwing fittings into the turbo), T4 gaskets, tubing for upgrading cold side, t-bolt clamp upgrade, etc. This is a hell of a deal.
