Joe O LE2 cam FS

I have a Joe O cam from July of 04 that I ran for a few thousand miles, and it just came out tonight to swap out to the BRE setup for the SuperVic. I have the cam card, but specs will only go out to the buyer. If you really must know, the specs have been posted on the board and the specs that most people care about are very similar to the GM 847, but its the rest of the lobe that makes the big difference.

When I bought the cam from Lloyd, the claim was that it would make 10 more at peak and make TQ sooner than a cc306 or GM847.

The cam looks very new, you can see the path that the rollers were on, but there is no ridge. The bearing journals look like new.

The cam is out of the car in a box ready to ship.

I am asking 250 + shiping. I have a very good reputation selling things on here and you will have a tracking number the business day after money clears.

Re: Joe O LE2 cam FS

Anyone that would like to hear the car can click the links in my sig. This cam would be awesome in a 350/355 for lots of top end, and it worked great in my 383 with a real wide powerband.

It made 413rwhp 390rwtq through a heavy Moser 9" which is said to eat an additional 3% over a GM 7.5" 10 bolt. Assuming those figures, with a 10 bolt in the car it could get to 425rwhp and 400 rwtq in this setup. This is no joke of a cam, I just needed something that will better fit with the SuperVic.

Re: Joe O LE2 cam FS

The cam looks like new, other than you can see where the lifters rolled on the lobes. The journals are also new looking, no nicks, dents, or scratches.

This is from the email that Lloyd sent me when I was inquiring about the heads.

LE2 cam pulls from 2200 to 6400 RPM and should make 400-420 RWHP with matching heads, 30-36 lb injectors, 52-58 mm TB, 1 3/4 LT's, no cats, GOOD tuning, etc. The heads are ported and machined for larger Ferrea 2.00/1.56 valves, Comp 987 dbl springs, TITANIUM 10 degree retainers, locks, locators, milling, cleaning and assembly. These will flow about 270/190 with a 205 cc intake port. Heads and cam are $1600 (plus shipping) and will need GOOD tuning. This has the RPM range of the CC 306 cam but will make more HP and TQ at peak and across the board. The REAL difference will be the LE2 cam will make TQ in the 2500 RPM range and the cc 306 doesn't start until way past this. It will make more HP than the cc 306 at ALL RPM's.
I would have pics already but my batteries in my camera were dead last night. I will pick some up on the way home tonight and post them.

Thanks,
Chris Bailey

Re: Joe O LE2 cam FS

Here are the best pics I could get. My real camera died on me tonight so this is from my 'toy' video camera and these are the cleanest pictures that it took.

If someone bought it and thought there was a ridge or something, I would certainly work with them but I assure you that the lobes and journals are as smooth as glass. I work in a machine shop, and I know the difference between a ridge and a line. There is no way you could ever catch a nail on the lines that are on the lobes. It is just a visual mark.

When measured with a mic, the lobes are flat within .0002" everywhere that I checked them.

BTW, this is a billet cam. If someone wants all of the original pictures that I took, I am more than willing to send those out, but they are kinda blurry.

Re: Joe O LE2 cam FS

As of right now, 69vette is first in line, I'm just waiting on a zip for calculating shipping.

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Joe O LE2 cam FS

Still for sale, 69vette (a.k.a. Dustin Hodges) attemted to buy it from me and he sent a M/O fr $100 over the amount. His previous record on here is a tainted one with history of scams, so I have decided to not go further with him as a buyer. I am not going to risk anything, so the M/O is already on the way back to him.
