Partially correct. The BOV comes more into play when you are full throttle full boost and get off the gas pedal quickly. As soon as you do vacum is created and opens the valve the eliminate possible damage to the blower at full boost. At idle blower barely makes any boost. it has to be spinning fast to create 10 psi. Ive seen a blower on my buddies car completly destroy itself because he forgot to hook up his vacum hose to the BOV. the car drove fine until the first time he laid into it. Completelly destroyed the blowers impeller along with other parts. The elbow ripped the silicone connector when the air pressure had no where to go.

Just curious, why would you choose this blower over your current Vortech?

I was going to switch to the Procharger because it is intercooled. I don't have the time to remove my Vortech system and install the Procharger right now, so I am just going to sell the Procharger and maybe build a FMIC for my Vortech in the future.

T/A Kid, I still have the supercharger. If you and the others do not want it I will sell it on ebay for about $2,000 in a few days.

If I were you I'd just get the aftercooler, you've got a few months to save for it before it gets hot outside. I guess your logic is just an attempt to obtain an intercooled system for less money rather than just adding an aftercooler, a better tank, a better pump, etc.

Welp, ttt for ya .... he says 2,000 OBO kids

well thats kind of the general idea but a little off, the main reason for the Bypass or Blow-Off valves is to eliminate compressor surge, which happens when you close the throttle, what happens is the blower is still pushing compressed air into the engine, and when you close the throttle it forces it backwards through theimpeller an in the super/turbocharger and causes wear on the bearings as well as slows you down

Re: LT1 ATI Procharger - $1800

what kind of daily driver are you looking for? I've got a 98 Sonoma 2wd 4.3 5 speed. It's cheap, but not $1800 or $2000 cheap.. and I could get it from KY to TX. Do you think we could work out a trade?
