LT1 engine

I have an LT1 engine that has been sitting in my garage for the last 5-6 years. I took it as part of a trade and I would like to get rid of it. I don't know a whole lot about the engine. In the next couple of days I will be pulling the pan of to take a look inside. Here's what I was told from what I can remember.

385 ci

BLOCK: splayed steel main caps with ARP bolts
CRANK: aftermarket steel???
RODS: Carrillo H-beam steel rods with SPS bolts
PISTONS: custom JE
HEADS: Dominion 32v
INTAKE: I believe its a SBC DART converted to LT1
WATER: Mezeire electric
DISTRIBUTOR: MSD
BALANCER: ATI super dampner
OIL PAN: Stefs aluminum
I would really prefer pick up.

I'm looking to get $2000.00 or B/O.

Any questions or offers please PM or email jkfdc1971@aol.com

I will be able to respond alot faster that way.

I will post some pics of it on the engine stand later tonight.

Thanks

Jeff K.

Re: LT1 engine

You have a set of the dominion heads? Wow...!!! I think there's only a dozen or so iterations of those heads in the world.

Yes. I will be posting pics later. I don't have the time or space to work on this along with my LS stuff.

The motor was from a guy out in Texas.

pm replied.

Dave, The name rings a bell.

I really wish I had something that I could drop it in. I have my car set up for an LS. Just not in the cards and I dont think the wife would like another car around.

Re: LT1 engine

Here's a couple of pics. I pulled the pan last night.

The block has splayed main caps with ARP hardware. I confirmed that it does have Carrillo H-beam steel rods w/SPS bolts and JE pistons.

Re: LT1 engine

Great news! I hope the sale happens and that the new owner gets that dominion headed motor on the track.
