Re: LT1 Fbody parts for sale...
I bought it from fellow member Jason Short and just used it for about 3 weeks while getting my original T56 fixed.
Like Jason told me at the time, it was from a 95 and had unknown miles on it. It has some small issue with reverse. After you press in the clutch and put it into reverse, you have to hold the shifter in that gear(reverse only) while releasing the clutch. Once the clutch is engaged, you can let go of the shifter as you back up. If you just put it in reverse and let of the shifter and let up the clutch pedal, it pops out of gear. We thought it was the reverse lockout solenoid but I swapped that and it still had the same issue. Other than that, it seems okay.

Re: LT1 Fbody parts for sale...
Sean,
When I called you and we spoke at length about my heads and your current heads, I was still waiting on my machinists price for the cleanup and lapping of the valves so I could add that to the price of the heads. I'd put them up at $800 originally 'as-is'. Nothing seemed to move on those so I had my machinist clean them up so they would be ready to bolt on. I wasn't going to sell them for $800 when I just spent another $100 for cleanup/lapping so I relisted them at $900.
I wasn't sure after the conversation that you still wanted them. I thought it was still rather conditional since you wondered about making payments for the heads.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. If you still want first option on them, I'll mark them as such.
THanks,
Dave

Re: LT1 Fbody parts for sale...
As soon as possible. Ugh.. the machinist just emailed me and said he'll have them ready Saturday night. What is your zip code?
I can estimate and we can make any corrections we need to at time of shipment.

Re: LT1 Fbody parts for sale...
Like I said above, the machinist won't be finished with them until this coming Saturday night.
To see the orginal post when the seller sold them to me...
https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/par...ds-cnc-651722/
To see when I got them and the pictures of them at that time,
https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/lt1...arrive-654224/
I don't know what brand of valves they are since I didn't buy them, nor was told what they were.
The springs are CompCams Big Block Beehives set to the correct installed height for my turbo cam/rocker arm combo (.570 ish lifts)

Re: LT1 Fbody parts for sale...
I show UPS ground to Tollesboro at being right at $13 for the shipping. So cutting $10 off the top, then subtracting $13 shipping(and then the cost of box) means at the end, I get $27 out of a timing cover for which I paid $40 and then $15 to have it media blasted.
No thanks If I don't sell it, I'll just use it myself for my next engine rebuild.
