the block is not cracked or have a spun bearng, right? Also, was hooked up to an auto or a man trans?

 

I would be interested in the short block too. I'm from Davenport Iowa. Thats about a 3 hour drive. I will PM you my cell number. Let me know if ^ he doesn't buy it.

 

I bought the engine as a used complete engine and tore it down to the shortblock. Everything looks to be in good shape. I turned it over by hand and it did not bind, or make any bad noises. It doesn't show any signs of being cracked to my naked eyes. It does need a light honing on the cylinders, since it's been sittin on the engine stand in the garage for the better part of a year now, otherwise the rotating assembly is completely usable. Hone the cylinders, re-ring it and some new bearings, and for a couple hundred buck you'll have a good running "fresh" engine. It was in front of an auto trans.

However, if you want the engine shipped, you will have to make all the arrangements. I will crate it up and get it ready to be shipped for you, but I don't have the time to shop around for a trucking company to ship it.

BTW, I just mapquested Davenport from my house, and it's only 2 hours. We could meet around Princeton IL right off I80...if you have a truck anyway.
