FOR SALE LT1 T56 and Spec stage 3 clutch
SOLD EVERYTHING.
I am selling an LT1 T56 out of a 97 Trans Am. I bought the trans from a member here back in 2001 with 40K on it. I put at the most maybe another 10K miles since then as it was in a project car. Trans shifts like new. Not one single issue with it at all!!!! Has stock shifter assembly on with a Lou's short stick. Previous owner had Redline synthetic fluid in it and I followed suit when I owned it. The trans has been in a car that hasnt had more then 15 miles put on it in 3 years so the trans is a little dusty and dirty. I have since fully cleaned the trans and have it currently boxed up and ready to ship. I will say it again, there is nothing wrong with this trans and will provide many years of service to the newer owner. You will NOT be disappointed with this trans!!
I have the bellhousing for this trans as well so if you need it then please PM me. I also have a SPEC Stage 3 clutch with 10K miles on it. Clutch works perfect. Nothing wrong with it at all. Trans will come with the needed bolts and the clutch with the GM bolts needed to bolt it to the flywheel . The bolts were bought new from the dealer and have 10K on them. They have only been tightened and torqued once.
Asking $1500 for the trans. Remember, it has no more then 50K miles on it. Drop it in and go and not worry about a rebuild for a LONG time.
Asking $350 for the Spec stage 3 clutch.
I also have the stock LT1 flywheel if anyone is interested. $30 plus shipping
Shipping charges are extra. The dimensions on the trans box as 36x17x15 and it weighs 150lbs. Those dimensions do NOT include the bellhousing. Located at zip code 02790

Do you still have the clutch?
I have a internally balanced engine and wanted to know if the spec flywheel and PP would work with my set up? Or, if they could be modified to work, and if it would be worth it...
