NOT FOR SALE SBC Parts: Roller Rockers, Pro Action Heads, Aluminum Valve Covers
EDIT: I have decided not to part this car after all There's been lots of interest in some things so I went out to the shop today and started taking things apart, but I had to pause and rethink things. A good friend and I built this car and somehow it just doesn't seem right to throw away the memories. I apologize to anybody I've inconvienced.
am parting out a nearly-complete 1986 IROC project and will have lots of hotrod parts for sale. Since the project started the entire car has seen less than 50 miles, so unless otherwise noted, all parts have no more than 50 miles of use. These parts are all basically new, so I’m not going to give anything away, but if you compare to the prices of new it’s a good savings on basically new stuff. If this stuff doesn’t sell in the next week it will all be listed on ebay so if you see anything you want let me know soon. I really hate to part this car after spending close to $12,000 getting it this far, but I just don’t have the dedication to finish it. It’s worth more as parts than as a whole, so I’m taking it apart.
Pro Action (Pro Topline) Aluminum Heads. 2.05/1.65 undercut/swirl polished stainless valves +.100” long. Come with Comp 986 valve springs set up at 130# seat pressure for an aggressive hydraulic roller. They have ARP screw in 7/16” studs and raised guideplates. These are 200cc runners with 64cc chambers and angle plugs. Same as new condition, under 1 mile of use and a few minutes in the driveway. The cheapest I’ve seen these heads set up like this is $1150 on ebay and that’s with stock flat tappet springs and 3/8 studs. $850
SBC tall aluminum valve covers. Come with K/N breathers and steel shim rubber valve cover gaskets. These have a few minor factory imperfections, but look very good. They are close to $100 new without the filters, the gaskets are $40, and the filters are another $30. I’ll take $85 for the whole deal. I can also throw in a set of wing nut studded fasteners for another $10 that cost $20.
Crane Silver Roller Rockers 1.6 ratio, for 7/16” studs not self-aligning. Come with poly locks and are in very good condition. Half the rockers have had the corners rubbed from incorrect retainers, but this is very minor cosmetic damage that does not affect performance. Otherwise like new $189 rockers, $110 shipped with locks.
