Absorber

My gf used the absorber for a while on the Formula while I continued with towels on my truck (taking twice as long and using 3 towels, at least). Both cars are Zaino fed (Z5 on the Formula, Z2/Z5 on the truck). The absorber seemed to leave some kind of odd, streaking film on the Formula, which is why I never used it on the truck. Seemed to dull the shine of the Zaino considerably. Was there something we were doing wrong? You guys seem to love that thing, but I won't use it with it streaking like that. Thanks.

I read the same thing about the Absorber causing streaks on a Meguiar's finish car There must be something in the Absorber causing this, I have used an Absorber persoanlly many times without a problem, I wish I had an answer what is causing this.

I'm with Carl here......I've used the Absorber for many years, never had a bit of trouble with them. Here's what came to mind though.....is it possible you picked up some kind of chemicals in your Absorber? How/where do you store it? Do you wash it in the machine with any chemicals? Did it possibly pick up some remaining car wash soap on the surface at some point? I would think if it picks up some kind of chemical it would be hard to completely remove, and this could be leaving a film on the car. That's the only thing I could think of.... You might want to try a brand new one and see if it works fine.

We tried a brand new one recently with the same results. We normally wring it out and let it air dry, or roll it up and shove it in the tube. Only problem with letting it dry is that it becomes stiff as wood and you have to soak it again to make it flexible. I might give it another shot. Only chemicals that have been on it are the remains of Zaino carwash (what little doesn't rinse off).
