Angry Claybar problem!!!!!

I was detailing a Vette yesterday, and my Zaino claybar turned to the consistancy of Jello pudding!

It was warm outside, but i was using the claybar in a cool garage. By the time the car was 90% clayed, the bar was almost jello. What is going on?!?!

That cant be good. I guess its time for a new one. If only Jello would turn into clay bar, we would be set.

I have seen all clay bars do that at one time or another, just can not explain why this happens some times.

That's very strange ......when I use the Zaino clay, I completely soak it under water many times during the process and they have never turned mushy. My bars have remained as strong as the day I first used them..... I don't know how to explain what's happening to yours......maybe something happens during the manufacturing that causes it.

I wouldn't use a bar that I couldn't soak in water......so far I've found Zaino and Clay Magic hold up fine in this manner.

Let it air out and dry out, it should go back together. I do not soak any of my clay bars, I just keep the surface of the paint lubricated, never a problem.

I torture my claybars, sometimes tossing them into the bucket of Z7+water when I'm done claying. They've never gone mush. Actually, I just bought new ones. I forgot they were supposed to be YELLOW!!! My old ones are kinda mint-green now

Its been a couple of days, and it has dried up a LITTLE bit. Should i just leave it out for more time?
