Cracked dash

My dash has a hairline crack that streches all the way from the gauge cluster to the windshield. Anybody have any luck repairing these or should I try to find another one? How do you get it off, anyway, I heard they were velcroed but I didn't want to pull up too hard and break something.

When mine cracked, I replaced it. I don't believe it was Velcroed in, it was just held on by a bunch of clips.

Don't bother trying to fix it. They're too brittle when they're old. At best it'll crack more before you put much work into it, unlike me, who had it painted flat black and was putting the finishing touches on the thing.

Re: Cracked dash

Both my Z's had the same problem. Try to get one used when somebody parts a car out. If not the dealer sells them for like 120. It isn't held in there with velcro. there are little clips that hold it in there. YOu need a thin flathead screwdriver to push on them to get it off.
