Dealer "Logo" Removal

The dealer "decal" on the rear bumper has got to go. What is/are the means for removal? It is not one of those plastic stick-on emblems, it appears to be like a hard vinyl decal. It is a 4-line form applique. From paperwork, the car was delivered to this specific dealer last March-I would like to hope the silver color differenece will be negligible. I have a bottle of the GM touch-up paint, in case of a clumsy slip. But I would like to avoid cutting or x-acto knife action.

Thanks for any help.

If it's vinyl, you can remove it with a heat gun. Then use some "goo-gone" to remove the adhesive.

Jeez, I can't stand dealer logo's. They are all over cars bought here in Va.

Try what s willis says. It will work just fine. Be careful with the heat gun and don't hold it in one location for too long.

My 5th gen wont have one.

I used a blow dryer to take mine off along with all the others on our cars.

I dont even use those plastic dealer frames for the plates. I have them in my room, I ment to buy a pair of Chrome "Camaro" ones and never got around to it

whatever you do dont use goo gone! Its not for auto paint, believe me! I just took mine off and used a credit card to help get the gooey adhesive off. Thats all I know about it. Good luck man.

You can use bug and tar remover, that works great!
