Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax

Has anyone ever tried Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax? It cost $20 for a 16 oz. bottle and says to last for 3 months. The one cool thing about it is that you can put a few drops in your car wash and it gives it a light wax job as you wash your car. Can you do that with any wax brand? Any opinions about it would be appreciated.

By the way I my car is black and everything else I have tried leaves a haze or just doesnt look good. So far the best stuff I tried is Zymol Cleaner wax but I also want a protectant wax to put over that.

I have used Groits BOS wax before, it works good for carnauba, if you want a real good carnauba with a lot of shine you may want to try P21S Wax, one of the best, if not the best carnauba waxes. You will find that most carnauba waxes will only last 4-6 weeks at the most, less if you drive through rain or wash your car often. Some Car Wash have wax in them. If you want a product to last months then you need to use a synthetic product like Zaino, Klasse or even Liquid Glass.

I've never been a big Griot's fan. Their waxes are very pricy, not the easiest to use, and the shine just isn't to my liking. Like Carl mentioned, I feel there are better carnauba waxes, if that's what you're after. Try S100 wax (P21S is the same wax, S100 is cheaper), One Grand Blitz is another great caranuba wax that is very reasonably priced and gives a nice deep shine. Even Mother's carnauba wax I feel is better than Griot's products. I've just never been "Wowed" by any of the Griot's waxes.....and their durability/protection is average IMO.

My favorite carnauba waxes would be P21S/S100 and Blitz, for the price of course.

I have had great success with Griot's wax. I believe it is the best wax out there. Easy on, fantastic shine and depth of color. It lasts way more than 4-6 weeks.

Groits BOS came in middle of the road in The Wax Test, P21S was the best carnauba tested. You can get P21S at www.autogeek.net

Well, if it came in 16th in one report, there are obviously 15 better products.

Well there were many factors that went into ranking the products, but I can say for sure that I'd use BOS before many of the products that finished well ahead of it. Some of the products may have scored better due to durability, but some that finsihed ahead of BOS I would absolutely NEVER use on "my" good finish.

I do agree that as far as carnauba waxes go that many on the list are in fact better in terms of shine and some in durability.

If it sparks your interest, give it a shot. I think what we're trying to say is that there are even better carnaubas out there for the same price point or less.
