how do you wash the Absorber?

You are in trouble now, you were supposed to KEEP the plastic tube it came in as the Absorber is ALWAYS supposed to be stored damp and kept in the plastic tube, the Absorber is never supposed to dry out, that is what the tube does.
I guess you can machine wash it and from now on store in a plastic bag, but never let it dry out.

Ben, right from the instructions:
..Just wash it with your regular wash using liquid detergent and ammonia. If soap residue remains, just rinse with a little vinegar. Soaking is not necesary.

it didn't say anything about it HAVING to be moist 100% of the time.

Yea, I've used the same absorber for 6 years now and the plastic tube is long gone. I just hang mine on a the wall. When I want to use it, I wet it down and use it. No problems. A VERY well spent $10.
