I have several questions about waxing. I personally do it by hand, no buffer and it takes me forever. Oh well I think that is true for all of us. But the part I have a question on is after you apply the wax and rub it in good, how long do you leave it before you buff it back up? I ask because I have heard everything from right away to leaving it for 45 minutes and then coming back out to buff it. So is there a right way?

 

It totally depends on what wax you are using as too how long it needs to stay on the surface. Some waxes need to be removed almost instantly, others after a few hours. When in doubt go by what the manufacturer recommends for your wax. It really all depends on the formula for the product as they all have different flash/dry points. It would be impossible to set a generic removal time for all products.....

What wax are you using, and maybe I could be more specific for your situation?

That's the other thing I don't know which wax to choose? I guess Zaino?

 

I usually leave the polish (Zaino in my case) on for an hour or so, even in the Florida sun. Then just wipe it right off. Removing the Z is as easy as a Vegas showgirl :P

I will say I've used many of hte products on that list and I still find Zaino to be tops in durability, protection, and shine. Of course, I used Zaino long before this test was ever even conceived, so it just justifies why I chose Zaino to begin with.

I went to my local Pep Boys, and Advanced Auto in search of this wax everyone talks about on here, Zaino. I had no luck in finding it there. Can anyone tell me where I can find the Zaino wax?
