Post Light Scratch.

I have a light scratch on my drivers side quater panal. It is very light and will probably come out with Zanio. But I just had the car painted a few weeks ago. Is it ok to apply Zanio on the paint?? I once heard that you shouldn't apply any polish or wax after a paint job. Will I just have to wait this out for a couple of months before I polish it out with Zanio? Or is it ok to go ahead and polish. Thanks.
