Question Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Spray?

I've never been a big fan of Meguiar's tire dressings. For the most part they sling all over the place and aren't durable. But, has anyone tried the new Hot Shine tire spray from them? It supposedly has an adjustable nozzel for different sidewall heights, which sounds fine, but I'm most interested in it's nature to sling and durability?

Has anyone tried it and if so, how'd you like it?

Thanks,

Mike

I have not tried it, I never like to spray any tire dressing. My car has billet wheels and my truck has chrome wheels and the tire dressing always wants to drift and get on the wheel finish. I like to apply with a sponge or the cotton applicators that I make.

Yeah, I agree Kevin, I've always used tire dressings that are applied with a foam or cotton app. I agree that the sprays usually make a mess around the wheel too, but I thought maybe with the adjustable nozzel this may work quicker/better than most other spray types for a fast and quick shine. I'm mainly concerned about it slinging though. I'd use nothing at all before I use a product that slings.

Do you use Z16 on your tires only or do you like any other dressings? I've used many and can't find much that works to my satisfaction. I really like the fact that Z16 doesn't ever sling, but I wish it were a bit more durable and quicker to apply sometimes when I don't have enough time to do a perfect detail with Z16 on my tires.

I try a new tire dressing quite often but they all tend to sling off especially in the summer when the tire heats up, the only other one I have found that will not sling is 303 but it does not shine much. All of the gels sling for me.

A company called TEC makes a non sling dressing. It comes a 5 gallon pale that costs around 115.00 bucks. Its green in color and lasts about a week depending on how much driving you do and of course rain.

I have tried it and it works fine. I have had not problems with it slinging. Its not as thick as others. Its not a cleaner just a tire dressing. So you might have to scrub the tires, but its really shiny and gives it a wet look... before the only think I use to use was Armor All Tire Foam Detailers Advantage and it was great got all over the wheels. It was a cleaner and dressed the tires well. The Meguires is a light spray with adjustable nozzle and works well. It won't hurt to try it out.
