Does anyone know if GM suggests a cure time for new paint . I know in the past you were not suppose to wax a new paint job for a couple of months. I just order a new WS-6 and guess the paint will be two to three weeks old when I get it. Should I wait ? What Zaino products do I need ? Clay bar to remove rail dust ? thanks Jim

Typically it can take anywhere from 1 month to 3 months for most paints to cure fully just depends on the air where its at, I would call where ever your getting it at and ask them sense its there paint.

New car paints are fully cured at the factory, you can wax or Zaino as soon as you get the vehicle. Any base coat/clear coat paint job will be cured in about a week for an after market paint job. Base coat/clear coat HAS to be chemically cured with an added catalyst (hardener) during the paint process, otherwise the base coat would never dry, you see clear coat is sprayed on top of the base coat why the base is still tacky so the clear will adhere. Since the base color is sealed from air by the clear, the added catalyst put in during the mixing of the base and clear will harden the paint.

You will want to get:

Z-1, Z-2, Z-6, Z-7 and Z-18. Delete the Z-1 if using the new Zaino product, the ZFX.
