Question ok...i know im not that bada waxer.

ok...last time i waxed my car i did a wonderful job...of putting swirl marks all over the decklid and bumper...i dawn washed them off but it still looks like they are there. its only when the sun hits the paint at a certain angle. did i completely kill my paint job? is it a sign of old paint?Help me...i dont want an ugly looking car.Oh...and how can i prevent future swirl marks??

It's most likely the towels you used to apply/remove the wax. It's alright, it can be fixed.

3M Swirl Mark Remover #39009 for darker cars (39109 for light)

A good buffer or strong arms is the best for using this stuff. You really gotta work it in good, but it does an excellent job of removing swirls. It's not a polish though, so you have to wax/polish over it with whatever product you use.

Also, Absorber for drying or MicroFiber waffle towels (www.microfibertech.com - Auto Detailing kit) and MF towels for wax/polish removal will GREATLY reduce the risk and severity of future swirlies.

Hope this helps.

P.S. If you plan to go the Zaino route, make sure you get Z5 with your order (the starter kit includes it). It's designed to darken and hide swirl marks with great results.
