paint coming off a '98 already???

paint coming off a '98 already???
the topic says it, i have a black '98 took very good care of it... (still do), and, wel... along some edges and on the gass tank door (alot on that door) well anyone else have thet problem??

Are you sure its the paint. It sould be this black plastic type residue that somehow hangs in all the edges. I've heard its a silocone coating on the car. But make sure its the paint coming off because i thought my paint was peeling until i scraped at the plastic like substance and it came off.

yea, i bought brand new (7 miles on it) well NOW that i think of it, if its that hard for the paint to come off.... it COULD be wax build-up... my dad did it last but.. it didnt come off, at all easy anyway), im try clay on it to see if that is it.... but yea, its does seem like it OCULD be wax, i thought of that before, but rubbed it, and it does seem lke the paint is slowly coming off....

coming off on:
gass tank thingy edge..(the cirle the top pops in and out to fill up
the back bumper some....
along the part where the side mirrors meet the car... few other spot.. and above the window on the roof... along the edge (runs along the window) theres bumps under the paint... thatll come off sooner or later...
they all arnt a big deal... i just look at every little detail and end up magnifing them by 1000x

ps- never used acid wheel cleaner, only soap and hard scrubbing
