removing wax from plastic

being careless i got some wax on the plastic, at the bottom of the windsheild, between the hood and windsheild

soap and water does not take it off. it looks ridiculous because my car is all black, and the wax is an off-white. so it'd easily noticed.

anyone know anything that will remove the wax?

Paint thinner will but it will most likely maar the plastic.

Gasoline and a toothbrush worked on my old '94 with no harm to the plastic.

I used Meguiars NXT Tech Plastic/Vinyl Protectant and it took it right off. It claims to restore plastics and vinyls to like new so I tried it on the same place you got wax and it worked great.

I used Back to Black from Mothers and it is some awsome stuff. It comes in a small red bottle. It removes wax so be careful not to get it on your paint.

very fine steel wool on the rough part where the wipers. works great and doesn't harm the plastic.
