Showing my car for the 1st time
i live in NC and I am in the Carolina F Body Club. Im showing my car for the 1st time this saaturday and I have a slight dillema. I live about a 2 hr drive from the show. Plenty of time for my car to pick up bugs, brake dust, dirt, road grime ect... What sould i have with me in my so called "Show Survival Kit" to take care of this stuff... Or shoulda i just find a car wash b4 the show and go at it there? Thanks for the help

I suggest you wash your car before leaving for the show, and give it a polish/or wax (if you use Zaino, stick a coat of Z2 on there). Then do 1 quick detailing (Meguires QD or Z6). This should help with shine and the bugs.
Pick up a California car duster (wooden handle if possible) and as soon as you get to the show, give it a once over with the duster. Then you'll need to do one or two more quick details to get all the bugs and road grime off the front and behind the rear wheels.
Give the wheels a polish, give the glass a cleaning when you get to the show as well. And make sure you have the interior vaccummed and cleaned before you go.
Make sure when you go you have:
1) Quick detailer and plenty of 100% cotton towels.
2) california car duster
3) scrap towels for wheels
4) glass cleaner just in case with some paper towel or newspaper.
5) bags to keep everything in and out of sight.
Good luck!!!

I do about the same as DohHunter except I don't put on any polish when I get there as it is usually too hot on me to do that in direct sun. I carry:
1. Good paint towels
2. Z-6 Detail Spray
3. Z-16 Tire Gloss to freshen the tires
4. old towels for the wheels
5. California Car Duster
6. touch up paint
7. Tarmenator tar remover
