Super poor paint quality!

I'm Extremely disapointed with the paint quality of my GTO, my 98 Camaro had depth and quality out of the showroom and this 3 year old GTO looks awful in the garage up close under the lights, swirls, marks, it's all there!

I bought the car used, The previous owner totally neglected the paint, Never was waxed, felt like sand paper, it took alot of work just to get it This clean! Since July I clayed it good, Meguiars NXT 1 coat, and maybe 2 coats of Mothers Carnuba cleaner wax since. I wash it weekly/Bi weekly.

The clear coat seems good, it holds wax well, and rain really beads up well, but the hood, roof, and trunk are covered in swirls and little hairline scuffs, and the front bumper is a wreck from road debree. If I run my fingers over it It scuffs it! It's that thin!

I'm planning to get the front bumper and hood re-painted, but not the rest of the car, Should I clay the car again? Is that safe to continue to do? Or should I invest in some better products? I'm almost tempted to find a good trusted Detailer and pay up if it means making it right, thats if it can be right...

Check out the pics, It's not too bad from a distance, but up close it's pretty bad http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2452090

Any Idea's would be appreciated.

If it is still under warranty take it back to the dealer and make them fix it.

all cars have hairy scratches....take it to get it buffed....funny people often confuse swirls with spider webs....they ARE not the same thing....GMs paint is usually very good as a detailer the worst paint is on the Japanese cars like hondas and toyotas....i bet your car is fixable without a paint job....

i am a detailer btw

I would show it to a good detailer or two and get their opinions, it's tough to tell from your pixs.

Thanks for the tips,

At this point the hood and front bumper definately need some paint work, they are chiped up pretty bad. As for the rest of the car I might make use of a detailer for the rest once the front is done. I think it can be worked out.
