Rub peanut butter on it, then wipe it off.

You might try Meguire's Professional vinyl and rubber cleaner/conditioner. I used it on the plastic by my headlights and it shined them up real nicely. If u use this keep in mind that it might look streaky at first. I just used more till it was even and left it on... it looked real good after that!

Poorboy's Trim Restorer. Permanently removes the wax, and leaves a protective coating behind.

Before

After

Available from www.poorboysworld.com www.autogeek.net www.premiumautocare.com www.specialtymotoring.com etc...

Re: wax residue on plastic

I had heard about the peanut butter before, but just never gave it any credibility. Well, I'm bored at work, with emergency food in the locker and it's time. Gave it a try on the beater trim and it works better than anything that I have used. I usually score around 990 at the 1000 point shows, so I have tried alot of things.

Thanks Bret. How' s the company life treating you?

I just went out and bought some... Like $7.99 for a bottle at your local Auto Zone / O'Reillys / Advanced / PepBoys; Worked like a charm.

Mother's Back to Black.
If it's in deep a plastic bristle brush is very handy also.

Re: wax residue on plastic

I tried the peanut butter trick over the weekend... it worked very well It removed both streaks that I had on the plastic around the windshield. After rubbing the peanut butter off... I went back over the trim with Back to Black.
